Promoting Cricket Across Morocco
Mauritius has taken another important step on its cricket journey after being officially admitted as the 111th Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC).
The decision was approved by the ICC Board during its Annual Conference in Edinburgh on 15 July 2026. The admission makes Mauritius the latest country to join the global cricket family and highlights the continued expansion of the sport beyond its traditional strongholds.
Mauritius' admission reflects the growing reach of cricket and creates further opportunities for players, coaches, clubs and communities in the island nation to participate and develop within the international cricket structure.
The ICC said the decision was part of its continued effort to expand cricket's presence in emerging markets and create greater opportunities for participation and development around the world.
